If a synchronisation error occurs, the software displays a window with more information to help you resolve the issue.
Description
Resolution
The error message will detail what to do to fix the problem. We've identified the most common causes to be:
- Internet disconnected during sync
- Internet speed isn’t suitable to sustain the service. Find out more about the system requirements in the FAQ
- There’s a temporary issue with the Sage Connect service
- Your computer isn’t connected to the internet
Following the guidance in the error description or retrying the sync later will resolve the problem in all cases. Below is a list of the most common sync errors you can see.
Select one of the messages below to find out more.
▼ We ran into a problem The message means you've tried to connect using an email address that isn’t associated with the Manager login for your company. To resolve it, use the correct email address.
▼ Error 200 This error means there was a processing error when handling your request. This could be due to several factors.
To resolve it, do the following:
- Check your data is in good health. If there are no problems to resolve, move to the next step.
- Manually sync the Customer Account Portal data. Go to Connected services, then Sage Network, then Sage Network Settings. From the settings window, click Sync data now.
- Retry your task, and if you still encounter an issue contact Sage Customer Support.
If the issue persists, check all of your Chart of Accounts and correct any errors.
Once you’ve tried those steps, disconnect and reconnect your Sage account.
▼ Error 413 This error occurs when the sync file exceeds the 256 MB size limit.
The data sync sends transactions from the current financial year, the previous financial year, and any future-dated transactions. If you haven't run the year end process for some time, the sync includes more transactions than needed.
For example, if the financial year is still 2020, the sync sends all transactions from 2019 onwards.
Updating the financial year can fix the issue, but large datasets can still exceed the limit.
▼ Error 500 This error means the service is temporarily unavailable. Try again later.
