How to change your device or primary method for 2-factor authentication (2FA) to access your Sage account.
Description
When you set up 2FA for your Sage account, you can only register to use one 2FA device or method. For example, using an authenticator app on your mobile phone.
Some examples of when you need to change the device or authentication method are when you:
- Decide to move to the Sage Verify app as your authentication method
- Have a new phone that you want to use for 2FA
- Want to change to using an authenticator app instead of SMS text
- Have a new phone number to use for 2FA
Resolution
Removing your 2FA device doesn't disable 2FA, and it remains mandatory.
