How do I change my device for 2-factor authentication (2FA)?
Description

When you set up 2FA for your Sage account, you can only register to use one device and primary 2FA method, for example, using an authenticator app. If you need to change the device or authentication method you can easily do this. For example:

  • When you have a new phone that you want to use for 2FA
  • When you want to change to using an authenticator app instead of SMS text
  • When you have a new phone number to use for 2FA

Follow the steps below to make these changes.

 NOTE: Changing your 2FA device isn't the solution for multiple users sharing access to the same Sage account . You need to add each person as a user in whatever Sage product or service you're currently sharing a login for. Each user must then create their own Sage account login and 2FA method setup. If you can still access your existing 2FA registered device/2FA method, you can remove your 2FA device at account.sso.sage.com.

Can't access your 2FA device?

If you don't have access to the device to log in at account.sso.sage.com you can use your recovery method to reset your 2FA.

Simply click Use your recovery method, enter the code sent to your recovery email address or recovery phone number, then select Remove device and add new one.
