If you’re new to Payroll, it provides set up options.

Pay run information

You can review a summary of the current pay runs, and check how many employees you’re ready to pay.

You can see employee net pay recorded so far in the current pay run.

You can also see:

  • The total employer cost of this net pay
  • Employee wages

Unprocessed or failed submissions

To help you keep track of your submissions to HMRC. The Real Time Information (RTI) section shows the Full Payment Submissions (FPS) status. You can view previous FPS submission information and details of any failed submissions.

It’s important that you resolve any messages that appear here. If you do submit late, you must choose a late reason.

You only see one message for each pay frequency. If there’s a problem with more than one pay run for that pay frequency, the oldest affected pay run appears. Once you’ve resolved the issue with that pay run, the next oldest appears.

Auto Enrolment / Pensions

You can use this area to set your duties start date and process re-enrolment. Read our article Prepare to set a pension (opens in new tab).
