| Errors when accessing data on Remote Data Access (RDA) |
Description | When using Sage 50 Accounts with RDA, you experience one of the following messages when logging in with your Sage ID: 'Your sign in was unsuccessful. Please correct the errors and try again. The email or password provided is incorrect.'
'An error has been encountered with your Sage Account. You are not able to connect using Remote Data Access at this time' Also when setting up RDA for a new company, the following messages can appear: 'Attention There has been a problem connecting this company to your Sage Account. You need to go through the Sage Accountconnection process again.'
'The Sage ID you've entered has had its access revoked or the company is no longer available via Remote Data Access. to enter an alternative Sage ID and password, click Retry.' These messages appear if you've changed the email address you use for your Sage Account. For example, if you change your email address in Sage HR, you can get these messages in Sage 50 Accounts. |
Resolution | NOTE: If you haven't changed your email address recently, follow the steps in Troubleshooting RDA to check and resolve your RDA access issues. If you changed your Sage Account email address, follow the steps below based on whether you're the data owner who uploaded the data or a remote user invited to access it. Remove RDA - In Sage 50 Accounts click Settings, hover over User Management then click Users.
- Click the Manager user name then click Edit.
- Clear the Allow Remote Data Access checkbox, click Yes, then click Save.
- Click OK, then click Close.
Disconnect the company from the Sage Account - Log into Sage 50 Accounts as manager or as an administrator, click Settings then click Connected Services Settings
If a message appears advising you’re using Bank Feeds, you must switch off Bank Feeds then repeat step 1.
- To disconnect the company, click Disconnect then click OK.
Connect to the new email address - Connect the company to your new manager email address.
- Set up RDA.
Allow RDA for relevant users Now set up RDA for all additional users.
Disconnect from the RDA company - At the remote site, open Sage 50 Accounts.
- On the Company Selection window, click the ellipsis (three dots) to the left of the company name you want to disconnect.
- Click Remove Remote Data Access.
- Enter your logon name and password then click OK.
- Click Yes then click OK.
Request a new company invite Contact the data owner and ask them to follow the steps below to invite you to access the company using a new email address. - Log into Sage 50 Accounts as manager.
- Click Settings, click User Management then click Users.
- Select the required user then click Edit.
- Click Remote Data Access, clear the Allow Remote Data Access check box, then click Yes.
- Select the Allow Remote Data Access check box.
- Complete the First Name, Last Name and Email Address fields, using the new email address.
- Click Finish, click Save then click Close.
Reconnect the company Once the data owner has invited you to access the company using a new email address, you can then reconnect to the company. |
