Disconnect a remote site from Remote Data Access - v27 only

The Remove Remote Data Access option makes it easy to disconnect a remote computer from an RDA company.

When to do this:

NOTE: This doesn't disconnect the company from RDA. It only disconnects access to the company on the remote site you disconnect on. To disconnect the company completely, use our disconnect from Remote Data Access article.

Disconnect from an RDA company at a remote site

To disconnect a remote site from a company that's shared through RDA, follow these steps at the remote site only.

 NOTE: If you're unable to access the Company Selection window or if you have issues logging in with your Sage account, contact us. 

  1. Open Sage 50 Accounts.
  2. On the Company Selection window, click the three dots next to the company to disconnect.

To reinstate it:

  1. Log in to the software as normal.
  2. Go to Tools, then Options, then Start up.
  3. Select the Show the Company List on start up check-box.
  4. Close the software and the Company Selection window appears when you open Sage 50 Accounts again.

  1. Click Remove Remote Data Access.

    NOTE: If this option is missing, the company dataset isn't on RDA on this computer.

    Remove Remote Data Access option selected.

  2. Enter your logon name and password then click OK.
  3. Click Yes then click OK.

Next Steps

When you open Sage 50 Accounts, if you only had one company listed, the Active Setup wizard appears.

Add a Company window with the Download option selected.

To reconnect to RDA, select the Download option.  For more information, see our access company data remotely article.

If the Active Setup doesn't appear, click Add Company in the Company Selection window to see the setup options.
