How to install Sage 50 Accounts for the first time, or install it on a new computer.
Description
Once you're ready to install Sage 50 Accounts, follow these steps to quickly and easily install the latest version. If you want to use Sage 50 Accounts on different computers, just install it on each one using this article.

To begin the installation, locate and double-click Sage50Accounts_v30.1.343.0 in your Downloads folder.
If prompted, click Yes to allow this app to make changes to your device.
Click Accept License Agreement & Install. NOTE:We recommend installing the full program on all computers where you'll use Sage 50 Accounts. If you need more help during installation, click the icon at the top right of the install window.
Once the installation is complete, click Launch Sage 50 Accounts to move on to the next step.
Add company data
You have 4 options to add a company:
Create a new company and set it up from scratch
Connect to existing company data on another computer over a local network
Restore a backup of existing company data
Download existing company data on another computer using Remote Data Access

Gather the information you need to connect to the data:
Open Sage 50 Accounts, log in as manager then click Help, then click About.
Under Licence Information note your Serial Number, Activation Key and Account number.
Under Program Details,note your Data Directory and Version Number.
Connect to the data
NOTE: When you first open Sage 50 Accounts you're prompted to enter your serial number, activation key and if required your account number.
Open Sage 50 Accounts.
Click Connect, then click Browse and go the Data Directory you made a note of earlier.
TIP: Your data path should be in the format of a UNC path, for example \\server\sage\accounts. For more information on this, see our guide here >
Click Continue, then click Connect.
Enter your Logon name and Password then click OK.
If your data is from an older version you're prompted to update the data. If you need to add another company you can click File, New then click Company.
