Am I using a 32-bit or 64-bit operating system?

What does this mean?

In v30.0 of Sage 50 Accounts, we have moved to a 64-bit version of the application, which has numerous benefits. For more information on this, see our Sage 50 Accounts v30 - 64-bit article.


How do I check if I am 32-bit or 64-bit?

It's quick and easy to check which version you're running. 

 TIP: Windows 11 is only supported on 64-bit systems, so there's no need to check the below - You are using a 64-bit system.

  1. Click Start.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Then click System.
  4. Click the About option in the left-hand navigation bar.
  5. Check the Device Specifications section for the System type:

    In this example, the system is a 64-bit operating system.
