'Missing payroll information' - Sage HR Online Services

What to do if you get a warning in Sage HR Online Services that an employee has missing payroll information.

Description

When you view your Company Directory in Sage HR Online Services, you may see some employees that have a message under their name that says Missing payroll information.

If you click Show next to [Insert number] missing payroll information you're presented with a list of all the employees that have this message.

This message indicates that these profiles have been manually added in Sage HR Online Services, and haven't yet been linked to an employee record in Sage 50 Payroll. As long as the email addresses match, they link the first time you upload the employee's payslips.

When you click on their profile in Sage HR Online Services, you see one of the following messages below.

Resolution

'We can't find [employee name] in Sage 50 Payroll'

This message shows when you haven't sent the employee record to Sage 50 Payroll and not yet linked their Sage HR record with their employee record in Sage 50 Payroll. Follow the steps in 'We can't find [employee name] in Sage 50 Payroll', to resolve this message.


'The employee is waiting to be approved in Sage 50 Payroll'

This message shows when you've manually added an employee profile in Sage HR Online Services and sent the employee record to be imported into Sage 50 Payroll. Even if you have already added them in Sage 50 Payroll, Sage HR Online Service doesn't know this until the employee's first payslip is uploaded to link their Sage HR and payroll records together.

Follow the steps in in, 'The employee is waiting to be approved in Sage 50 Payroll', to resolve this message.
