Summary
Description
When working in a Sage 50 Accounts company using RDA, the following messages can appear:
- 'Your Sage Accounts data is out of sync with the data held on Remote Data Access/Sage Drive.'
- 'Sage Accounts will now close to allow the current Remote Data Access/Sage Drive data to be downloaded.'
- 'Your Remote Data Access/Sage Drive data is currently unavailable whilst it auto syncs with the cloud. Sage Accounts must now close.'
- 'Your company has failed to synchronise for Remote Data Access. You will be unable to access your company whilst the data synchronises. Sage Accounts must now close.'
Resolution
Usually, we expect these messages and they indicate that the software is updating your data. If it has only appeared, allow the software to close and complete its synchronisation. You can reopen it once the process finishes. Synchronisation time varies depending on factors such as your Internet speed.
If the message continues to appear, follow the steps below.
Ensure you're logged into your computer as an administrator before you begin.
Check requirements to use RDA
We recommend you check your system to make sure it meets the requirements to use Remote Data Access.
If you're happy you meet the requirements, continue to the next section.
Update to the latest version
Make sure you update each copy for Sage 50 Accounts to the latest version. Visit the installation hub.
Restart the computer where your data is held
If possible, restart the computer where your data is held.
If this isn't possible, you must instead reset the Sage services and processes.
Disable any antivirus or firewall software
To check if your antivirus or firewall software is causing a problem with RDA, temporarily disable the software. You can then try to log in to Sage 50 Accounts again.
NOTE: Sage can't accept liability for any issues that result from turning your antivirus software. If you're unsure whether to disable it, contact your local IT support.
Remove RDA and re-upload data
If the issue persists, reset Remote Data Access.
