You can now change the email address that the Manager login uses for Sage 50 Accounts. In v32.1 and below, you needed to disconnect any connected services first.

Change the email address

 NOTE: This is an exclusive area of the software, so other users will need to log out. 

1. In Sage 50 Accounts, go to Settings then User Management.
2. Select Users then Change Manager email.
3. Select Yes on the confirmation message.

The software will check if the current Manager email address is the Account Owner for the company. If they’re the owner, you'll see a Manager's email is the account owner message. Follow the steps in the Manager is the Account Owner section. 

4. Enter the Sage account email for the Manager user. This email address must have a Sage account login already with cloud-connection permissions.
5. Click Continue.

The software checks if there's a Sage account with permissions associated with the new email. If there isn't, you'll see a Cloud connection permission required message. Follow the link on this message to grant permissions.

6. Enter your password for the new email address then click Login.
7. Click OK on the Manager email changed message.

You can now process as normal.

Manager is the Account Owner

The software will advise you that the Manager email address is an Account Owner. You need to transfer ownership to the new Manager email address.

1. Click Yes on the Change Manager email window to continue.
2. Select the links on the message then when complete, click OK to close the message.

 NOTE: After transferring ownership from the old Manager email, this original email address loses access to Remote Data Access for any company. If required, you can edit the user to access data remotely again. 

3. After you have transferred ownership, follow the Change the email process section again.
