Description

Here we'll explain how to set up 2FA using a mobile app, like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. To learn about the benefits of using an app, visit our Benefits of using 2FA with an app article.

NOTE: We don't recommend a specific authenticator. You can find several options on your app store.

  6. Make a note of your 24-digit recovery code and store it in a safe location.
NOTE: If your primary 2FA method is ever unavailable, you can use this one-time recovery code to log in.
  7. Select the I have saved my recovery code check box, then click Continue.
  8. The setup is now complete, and you can now log in to your account.

Set up a recovery method

Once you’ve set up your primary 2FA method and noted your recovery code, it’s a good idea to add a recovery method. This is an alternative email address or phone number you can use to access a new recovery code to log in or reset your 2FA.
