Entering a duties start date after its past
Description
Cause
Resolution

Entering a Duties start date (sometimes referred to as a staging date) earlier than ray runs you've already processed, generates a warning message.

If not already done:

What happens when you process the first pay run after entering the duties start date

A recalculation takes place. Payroll will assess the employees against the automatic enrolment criteria in the previous pay runs. If met, they’ll enrol onto the default pension scheme and contributions will calculate.

CAUTION:

When Payroll recalculates the pay runs, payslips and reports will update. If required, export your payslips and payroll reports before entering your duties start date so you have access to the original copies.

The missing deductions will show as a correction in the current period. The correction is a total of all the missing pension deduction together.

You don't believe the new pension information is correct

If you need to change something about the pension calculation or enrolment details, you need to edit the previous pay runs. Use the links below to find out more.
