Description

As well as uploading employee payslips and P60s, you upload and share other employee payroll documents in one secure location, that can then be accessed 24/7 online.

You have full control over who can access the payroll documents via the Online Service, so they can quickly access payroll documents as and when they're ready.

If you're already using Sage Online Payslips/P60s and have successfully uploaded payslips or P60s, you just need to click to register to use Online Documents.

What's my role?

There are four different
  • Manager: Has full access to Online Documents. Can upload, publish, view and approve or reject payroll documents. The manager can invite others to the Online Documents portal.
    Before any users upload or publish any payroll documents, the manager user must set their access level and assign them to the appropriate groups.
  • Uploader: An uploader can upload company payroll reports, upload company payroll documents and employee payroll documents from Sage 50 Payroll using their Sage ID.
  • Publisher: A publisher can log in with their Sage ID to publish company payroll reports, publish company payroll documents and employee payroll documents that've been uploaded from Sage 50 Payroll.
  • Approver: This access level may be provided to a client. An approver can log in to the Online Documents portal to approve or reject payroll documents.

Key features

Users with Manager and Uploader access levels can upload specific file types to the Sage Online Documents portal. The maximum file size that you can upload to Sage Online Documents is 20Mb

The following features are available:

  • Upload company reports - Upload company payroll reports from your report browser in Sage 50 Payroll to the Online Documents portal.
  • Upload company documents - Company payroll documents that you want to share can be uploaded from the Documents tab in your company settings.
  • Upload employee documents - You can share payroll documents with your employees, for example a contract of employment, from the Documents tab in the employee record.
  • Upload payslips - Once you've entered your employees' payments, you can upload their payslips. You can publish them straightaway or, schedule a date to publish them.
  • Upload P60s - Once you send your final submission of the tax year, you can upload your P60s for your employees.

The following features are available, for users with Manager and Publisher access levels, to share with your clients for approval from your Online Documents portal:

  • Publish company payroll reports.
  • Publish company payroll documents.
  • Publish employee payroll documents.

Once a payroll document has been published, users with Manager and Approver access levels can approve or reject them.
