Install the latest software update
If you haven't done so already, install the software or upgrade to the latest version. Use our guide to
download and install Sage 50 Payroll.
Company settings
You can enter the details and settings specific to your company, all in one area. For example, enter your company address details, set your company retirement age and specify whether you're eligible for small employer's relief and employment allowance. Use our guide to enter your company settings.
Submission settings
Before you can send or receive information to HMRC, you must register with them and create a Government Gateway account. If you haven't already, register your details at http://online.hmrc.gov.uk
Once you have your details, enter your e-Submission settings into your payroll software.
Holiday schemes
You can record your employees' holiday entitlement and track how many days or hours they take. Set up the required holiday schemes and assign them to your employees.
Add your existing employees
When you move to Sage 50 Payroll, enter your existing employees' details into your software. As part of this, create employee records and enter any year to date values. Use our guide to add an existing employee.
Pensions Module
