Description

You can easily manage and record the holidays your employees book and have taken.

Resolution

Enter your company holiday start date

  1. Click Company, then Settings.
  2. Click the Absence tab and enter the start date for the Holiday Year.
  3. Click OK, then OK

National holidays

Sage 50 Payrolls include National holiday patterns. When an employee takes a period of holiday that includes a day of national holiday, that day isn't subtracted from their holiday entitlement. Find out more about National holidays in Sage 50 Payroll.


Enter your holiday scheme settings

You can set up two different types of holiday schemes:

Once you've entered your holiday scheme settings you can record your employees' time off.


Carry holiday entitlement forward into future years 

To carry holidays forward in Sage 50 Payroll, select the Allow Entitlement B/F From Previous Year check box in the holiday scheme settings. Use our guide to carry holiday entitlement forward.


Delete a holiday scheme

You can delete holiday schemes you no longer use. Use our guide to delete a holiday scheme.


Assign a holiday scheme to an employee

Once you've set up your holiday scheme, you can then assign the holiday scheme to your employees.


Record holidays booked and taken

Use the absence diary option to record and delete holidays booked or taken.


Advance your holiday year
