Refresh the queue.dta file
Description

If Sage 50 Accounts closes unexpectedly, it doesn't refresh the active users list, causing login issues.

Delete the file called queue.dta and reopen the software to refresh the list and resolve the issue.

Repeat these steps on each computer if you run the software over a network.

Before you start

Make sure everyone's logged out of Sage 50 Accounts, including all Remote Data Access (RDA) users.

1. Find the path to the company data folder

  1. Access the computer that holds your data. If you aren't sure, check Where is my data kept?
  2. Open Sage 50 Accounts, then in the Company Selection window, select the required company.
  3. Click the three dots to the left of the company name , then click Folder location.
    In Sage 50 Accounts v26 - in the Select Company window, click Open Folder Location.
  4. Make a note of this folder location as you'll need it later.

2. Stop the Sage Accounts data service

  1. Access the computer that holds your data.
  2. Stop the Data Service on that computer.

3. Delete the queue.dta file

 

  1. Browse to the company data folder you located in step 1: Find the path to the company data folder.
  2. Double-click the ACCDATA folder, locate and right-click QUEUE.DTA, then click Delete.

4. Start the Sage Accounts Data Service

  1. Access the computer that holds your data.
  2. Start the Data Service on that computer.
  3. If the issue persists, repeat this process on the computer where the issue occurs.

If the problem persists, and you use RDA, you can remove it, repeat the steps above, then set up RDA again.
