Description
Once you've configured your payroll for Timesheet integration, you're ready to process your payroll.
How it works
Only timesheets approved in Sage HR will show in the Sage Payroll. For more information, read Approve timesheet hours.
NOTE: Leaver details won't appear in Payroll.
The feature is date driven. The dates showing on the timesheet post against the same pay period in Payroll.
CAUTION: Timesheet integration isn't suitable if you pay in arrears.
To avoid missed pay periods, ensure that your working pattern in Sage HR and Payroll matches for all employees.
Resolution
How it looks
When you process the payroll, any successfully linked payments will have a tag of Approved HR timesheet next to it. The Quantity field populates to match what you entered into the HR timesheet.
There's also a View timesheet button, which will open a side panel with more details.
NOTE: This information is live unless the figures have been over typed. This will break the link for this period.
Processing the Pay Run
The hours field automatically populates. You'll still need to do your regular checks and ensure all other employees pay is correct. Then complete the pay run as normal.
- Select Pay Runs from the menu bar.
- Identify the correct frequency and click Process Pay Run.
- Confirm your pay date and click Next.
- Enter any absence and click Next.
NOTE: When you click Complete Pay Run, Payroll will do one final check to see if there has been any updates to the timesheet in HR. If there have, you will chose how to continue.
