Show alternate row colours on record lists
Make things easier to find when you're working with large lists of records or transactions. You can add alternate row colours to the lists in each module.

Selecting multiple records
If you want to select more than one record at a time. For example, you want to highlight five different suppliers at once. When selecting more than one record, there are two methods you can use:
- Windows selection style - select multiple records in with the shift and Ctrl keys
- Sage selection style - select records by clicking them individually

Hide deleted transactions
To speed up your processing, you can hide deleted transactions from your lists, activity windows and reports. You can do this in a couple of steps.

Inactive accounts
Use the Inactive flag to hide old and unused customer, supplier, product, nominal or bank records from your record lists without deleting them.
Favourites and default layouts
Save time by setting the reports and layouts you use regularly as favourites in Sage 50 Accounts.
This means you don't have to search through the many reports available, or remember where each one is.

Save time using function keys
Using the function keys on your keyboard you can:
- Speed up data entry
- Access options quicker
- Switch between your mouse and keyboard
Configure F11 and F12
Although by default, there are routines attached to these two function keys, you can configure them to activate the software of your choice.
- Click Tools, then click Options.
- Click the Environment tab, then complete as follows:
F11 Enter the path and program file that you want to activate with the F11 function key. F12 Enter the path and program file that you want to activate with the F12 function key. Configure F12 as Hide Key To configure F12 to minimise Sage 50 Accounts, select the Configure F12 As Hide Key check box. - Click OK.
