How to resolve issues when Remote Data Access data is out of sync in Sage 50 Accounts v28 or above.
Description
Data can be out of sync for a few reasons:
- The Remote Data Access connection fails
- Each computer connects to a different set of data
- You haven't connected to Remote Data Access
Resolution
Check the Dataset ID
Check that the computers connect to Remote Data Access, and have the same Dataset ID.
To check if your computers are on Remote Data Access:
- When logged into your company, go to Help, then select About.
- In the middle column, scroll down to Remote Data Access Information.

Next to Dataset ID it will either show:
- A Dataset ID number – This means it's connected remotely using Remote Data Access
- N/A – This customer isn't accessing the data via Remote Data Access
- A Dataset ID number – This means it's connected remotely using Remote Data Access
- If a Dataset ID appears, make a note of it.
Resync the data
Select the scenario below that applies to your situation:
Computers have different Dataset IDs
One computer has a Dataset ID and the other computer is N/A
Computers have the same Dataset ID but aren't in sync
