Resolution

CAUTION: If you use Sage 50 Manufacturing or Sage Job Costing, read this important information before you install Sage 50 Accounts v28.1 or above.

Before you install

If you find errors or warnings in your data, you must fix them before proceeding. 

Download and install the update where your data is held

Install Sage 50 Accounts at the data storage location initially. Once complete, you can upgrade Sage 50 Accounts on connected computers if you have multiple installations.

 NOTE:  If using Remote Data Access (RDA), install the software on the computer that uploaded the data first. 

Depending on your data location, you can choose to download and install either the full program or just the Data Service.

 TIP: If you're unsure where your data is, follow this article to check which computer holds your data. 

Do I install the data service or the full program?

▼ Install only the Data Service

If your data is held on a server, you can just install the data service on it. You can then install the full program on your other computers connected to the server. Follow the steps in our install data service article.

Install the full program on the computer where you plan to use Sage 50 Accounts; it includes the data service.
Close all Sage software, then click one of the download links below:
 TIP: Refer to our am I using a 32-bit or 64-bit operating system? article if you're unsure which operating system type you're using. 

  1. Download Sage 50 Accounts 64-bit  

     

  2. Not using a 64-bit operating system? Download Sage 50 Accounts v32.0 32-bit instead. 
  3. To begin the installation, locate and double-click the downloaded file.
    To view your Downloads folder, press Ctrl + J on your keyboard when you have your web browser open.
  4. Click Install update.
  5. If you’re prompted to allow the application to change your device, click Yes or Allow.
  6. Once the installation is complete, click Launch Sage 50 Accounts, and open your company to upgrade the data. 

You can now follow the install on each computer section if you have multiple computers that use Sage 50 Accounts.

Once you've installed on the computer that holds your data, download and install on your other computers.

Final checks

To check everything is up and running, in Sage 50 Accounts click Help, and then About and check your version is v32.0.79.0
