Restart the computer that holds your data

To stop and restart the services immediately, restart your computer and / or the computer that holds your data. 


Using Windows Service Manager

Follow these steps on the computer or server that holds your Sage 50 Accounts data.

▼ Stop the Sage 50 Accounts Services
  1. Log all users out of Sage.
  2. Select the Windows Key + R buttons, enter Services.msc, then select Enter.
  3. Right-click the relevant service and click Stop.
    • Sage Accounts v26 and above - Sage 50 Accounts Service vxx

Where xx is your version. For example, v33.

  1. Right-click the relevant control service and click Stop.
    • Sage Accounts v26 and above - Sage 50 Accounts Control vxx

Where xx is your version. For example, v33.


▼ Start the Sage 50 Accounts Services

  1. Select the Windows Key + R buttons, enter Services.msc, then select Enter.
  2. Right-click the relevant service and click Start.

  1. Right-click the relevant control service and click Start.

NOTE:

If you're having difficulty starting the service, this could be due to environmental issues. To help resolve this, contact your local IT support.

  1. Log into Sage.

The service is stuck starting or stopping

CAUTION:

These steps are a last resort. If the service is in use, it can cause data corruption. 

Restart the computer that holds your data
