By law, you must pay Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) to all employees who are off work due to sickness. The employee needs to qualify for sick pay. Sage Payroll contains the most up-to-date legislation. It simplifies sick pay for you. Payroll will inform you if the employee does not qualify for SSP.

 NOTE: Although SSP is a statutory payment, it is not reclaimable from HMRC. The P32 report will not show any SSP reclaim.
