How to disconnect Stripe integration
Description

With Stripe integration, you can request and receive card payments directly from your emailed invoices. If you decide you don’t want to use this feature anymore, you can disconnect Stripe within Sage Accounting.

Cause
Resolution

CAUTION: Don’t try to deauthorise access within Stripe. You should only disconnect your Stripe account within Sage Accounting.

Before disconnecting Stripe

There are a few things you need to be aware of:

  • If there are no bank transactions in the Stripe account, the Stripe account tile in Banking is deleted when you disconnect your Stripe account
  • The details of the card that was used for a Stripe payment will no longer display in the Payment details window
  • You will no longer be able to access the Stripe Dashboard from the disconnected Stripe bank account
  • If you disconnect and choose to reconnect to the same Stripe account later, none of the transactions that took place while the account was disconnected will be available in Sage Accounting
  • If you have a pending payout, wait for the Stripe balance to go to zero first before disconnecting.

Disconnect Stripe

  1. From Settings, select Apps and connections and then choose Stripe.
  2. At the bottom of the page, select Disconnect Account.
  3. Select Yes, Disconnect Stripe to confirm that you want to disconnect your account.

You’ve now successfully disconnected your Stripe account from Sage Accounting. The Stripe bank tile may continue to display as Account Disconnected.
