Before you install If you find errors or warnings in your data, fix them before proceeding.
Download and install the update where your data is held Install Sage 50 Accounts at the data storage location initially. Once done, you can then upgrade Sage 50 Accounts on connected computers if you have multiple installations.  NOTE: If using Remote Data Accesss (RDA), install the software on the computer that uploaded the data first.
Depending on your data location, you can choose to download and install either the full program or just the Data Service. Do I install the data service or the full program?  TIP: If you're unsure where your data is, follow this article to check which computer holds your data.
Install only the Data Service If your data is held on a server, you can just install the data service on it. You can then install the full program on your other computers connected to the server. Just follow the steps in our install data service article. Install the full program Install the full program on the computer where you plan to use Sage 50 Accounts; it includes the data service.
Close all Sage software, then click one of the download links below:

- Not using a 64-bit operating system? Download Sage 50 Accounts v31.1 32-bit instead.
- To begin the installation, locate and double-click the downloaded file.
To view your Downloads folder, press Ctrl + J on your keyboard when you have your web browser open. - Click Install update.
- If you’re prompted to allow the application to change your device, click Yes or Allow.
- Once the installation is complete, click Launch Sage 50 Accounts, and open your company to upgrade the data.
Install on each computer Once you've installed on the computer that holds your data, download and install on your other computers.
Final checks To check everything is up and running, in Sage 50 Accounts click Help, and then About and check your version is v31.1.462.0 This release enhances the performance and stability of our v31.0 release.
