- Open Sage 50 Accounts and log in as MANAGER.
- Click Settings then click User Management and click Users.
If you see the Sage 50 User mappings window, click Skip. - Click New.

Standard - Limit access to specified areas in the software. This type of user can't manage other users. -
Accountant or bookkeeper - They must be using Sage 50 Account Client Manager and you can limit access to specified areas in the software. This type of user can create and manage other Accountant or Bookkeeper users. -
Administrator - Full access to company data and can perform most user management functions. -
Read Only - Sage 50 Accounts v28.1 and above, can't create any new records, but can view historic data and run reports.
- Click Continue, then enter the required information.
Create a user name | Each person using the software must have a user name. The name can use upper or lower case characters, spaces and numbers. | Password not required | Only available for standard users, select this option if you don't want this user to have a password. | Require password change at next login | Select this option if you want the user to change their password the next time they log in to this company. | Create Password / Confirm Password | Unless you're setting up a standard user with no password required, you must enter and confirm a password for the user. TIP: Individual users can manage their own password from User Management. If they forget their password, the manager user or an administrator user can reset it by editing the user profile in User Management. | - Click Continue then select the checkboxes to the areas the user can access and click Continue.
NOTE: This window doesn't apply to administrator users as they have full access by default.
- Click the Allow Remote Data Access check box.
- Enter the user details then click Continue.
- Check the User Summary, click Save then click Close.
- If prompted, log in to your Sage Account and enter the verification code.
Next steps - contact your user Now you've granted your user access to your data remotely, they'll receive an email inviting them to access the company. What they'll need: - Your Sage 50 Accounts version number - This is the version they must install to access the data
TIP: You can find this in Help then About in your software. - Sage account - The user needs a Sage account using the email in step 8 if they haven't already
- The passphrase for your data - this is the password you used when you originally uploaded the data
- The username and password you set up for them to access Sage 50 Accounts
