Ensure you're using the latest build of Sage 50 Accounts

If the issue persists, follow the Firewall settings section.
Restart the services
Stop and restart the services on the computer that holds your data.
Firewall settings
This message can sometimes appear on large datasets, when the backup creates a snapshot of data.
To resolve this issue, your computer must meet the firewall requirements for Sage 50 Accounts.
Fix any errors
Turn off the new backup method, then run Check data and fix any reported errors.
Switch off concurrent backups
CAUTION: Don't use these steps as a permanent solution as this stops scheduled and concurrent backups working.
- Go to Settings, then Company Preferences and select Parameters.
- Clear the Enable Check Data and Backup with users logged in checkbox.
- Select OK.
- Clear the temporary folder on the computer you've ran these steps on.
If the error message stops, there's a permissions issue to the temp folder, it's full or has a size limit. To avoid to turning off concurrent backups, contact your IT support to check for temp folder for size limits and Windows permissions.
Check your data
- Go to File, then Maintenance, then select Check Data

Check the temp folder on the computer that holds your data
On the computer that holds your data, check you can write files to the temporary folder. If you're not sure how to check this, contact your IT support.

Using a mapped drive
If you connect to your data though a mapped network drive, changing to a UNC path can resolve the issue.
