Set up and advance the holiday and absence years
Description

When you record holidays booked and taken within a year of the holiday start date, the software deducts them from the employee's entitlement.

When you advance the holiday year, Sage 50 Payroll:

  • Records holidays accurately in the current year
  • If the holiday scheme allows for days brought forward, it carries forward unused holidays from the previous year
  • If the holiday scheme allows you to advance days from next year's holiday, the employees' holiday entitlement reduces in the new holiday year

TIP: To ensure accurate reporting on absences, other than holidays, such as sickness and custom absences, set up and advance the absence year when it's expired. The absence year and holiday year start dates can be different. You can also advance the absence year without advancing the holiday year.
