These steps are for when you can log into a company. If you can't log in to the company or it isn't listed in your Sage 50 Accounts, create a new company from a backup. This requires a multi-company licence. TIP: Need a licence for an additional company? Submit your details and we'll be in touch. Before you start Take a backup of your current data in case you need it later. Restoring a backup will overwrite the company's current data. You can't restore a backup from a newer version into an older one. For example, a backup from Sage 50 Accounts v31 won't restore into v30 or below. TIP: If you save your backups in a .zip file or another type of archive folder, extract the file before restoring. How to restore your data - Log in to the company you want to restore a backup into.
- Click File then select Restore.
NOTE: Sage backup files will have a file extension of.001 - Click Browse, browse to and select the backup file you want to restore.
TIP: If you've backed up using this computer before, find your latest backup in the Previous backups tab. To restore a scheduled backup stored in OneDrive, click OneDrive. - Select Open, click OK then Yes to the message.
- When the restore has been successful, click OK.
- Enter your logon name and password, then click OK.
CAUTION: In v30.1 and above, restoring a backup of your data to a different location or computer will show a Manage cloud connection window. This appears if you use connected services. You've now successfully restored your backup. We recommend you check your data. [BCB:149:Move feedback:ECB] |
