If you're not sure if your data is in sync, compare the information on the About page on both computers.
Check that the computers connect to Remote Data Access, and have the same Dataset ID.
To check if your computers are on Remote Data Access:

Computers have different Dataset IDs
One computer has a Dataset ID and the other computer is N/A
Both Dataset IDs are N/A
Computers have the same Dataset ID but aren't in sync
