Summary

How to add and manage an accounting advisor in Sage Sole Trader.

Description

A Sage Advisor is a professional, like an accountant or bookkeeper, who helps manage your finances.

Sage Advisors use Sage for Accountants, our free customisable accounting solution for accountant practices. Accountants can sign up here: sage.com/en-gb/accountants/client-management

Connecting an advisor allows them to access your Sage account and assist with tasks like accounting and payroll.

To invite an advisor, you need their Advisor ID. This will let them securely connect and help manage your business.

If you're an accountant looking for your Advisor ID read our article: Find your Advisor ID to give to your clients.

NOTE:

You can only currently invite your accountant using the web app, you can't invite an accountant using the mobile app yet.

Resolution

  1. From your business name, select Manage business.
  2. Select Manage advisor access.
  3. Choose Invite with Advisor ID.
  4. Enter the Advisor ID, and then select Check
  5. Select Next, add permissions.
  6. Select the product you want to invite your accountant to in the Product field.
  7. Select Full Access in the Role field.
