Summary

How to restore a backup of your report and layout files in Sage 50 Accounts, without affecting your data.

Description

If you customise your reports or layouts, always back up the associated files. This is handy if you want to copy reports to different computers on your network. It also ensures that if you delete a report or layout or one becomes damaged, you can restore an undamaged file without affecting your data.

Resolution

TIP: To restore your report and layout files without affecting your data, your backup must have excluded data files.
  1. Click File, then click Restore.
  2. Click Browse then locate and double-click the backup that you want to restore.
  3. Check the Description of data to ensure it doesn't include data files.
