When you're installing Sage 50 Accounts, follow our checks to get prepared to:
- Install for the first time
- Install on a new computer
- Upgrade your version

Select whether you're installing for the first time or upgrading:
▼ New install Create a My Sage login
Before you download your software, you need to create a My Sage login.
If you already have a login, continue to the next section, Check your activation key.
Check your serial and account numbers
You need your serial and account number to activate your software. You can find these on your email or the invoice you received with the software.
TIP: If you don't have the email, or your invoice to hand, you can retrieve these details from your My Sage Account. Follow the Check your activation key section below.
Check your activation key
- Go to https://my.sage.co.uk, then enter your details and click Sign In.
- Click Software, then click Active products.
- Click your serial number, then make a note of your activation key.

Before you install Sage 50 Accounts, you, or your IT support, should check the following:
