How to resolve the message 'backup queued' in Sage 50 Accounts.
Description
Your backup enters a queue and displays the message 'Backup queued 1 of 1'.
Resolution

Follow the steps below to resolve, trying a new backup after each one.
▼ Stop the backup manager process - Hold down Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open the Windows Task Manager.
- Click the Processes tab.
- If listed, right-click the following processes and click End Task:
- Sage 50 Check Data Standalone App - CheckDataStandaloneApp.exe *32
- Sage 50 Backup Standalone App - BackupStandaloneApp.exe *32
- Sage 50 Restore Standalone App - RestoreStandaloneApp.exe *32
- DataUtility.exe
▼ Restart the Sage services -
Ensure all users log out of all computers with the software installed, then close Sage accounts.

Hold down Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open the Windows Task Manager.

Click the Services tab.

Right-click the relevant process, then click Stop:

Right-click the relevant services, then click Start.
▼ Switch off concurrent backups
CAUTION: Don't use these steps as a permanent solution as this stops scheduled and concurrent backups working.
While you have this feature disabled, all other users must log out to take a backup.
- Click Settings, then click Company Preferences and click Parameters.
- Clear the Enable Check Data and Backup with users logged in check box.
NOTE: This option only appears if you’re licensed for more than one user. - Click OK.
