How to cancel your Sage Accounting, Payroll, or Sole Trader subscription.
Resolution
Before you cancel, have you considered downgrading your subscription instead?
- Log in to your product. Make sure you have relevant permissions to manage subscriptions.
- Select your business name, then select Manage business from the dropdown menu.
- From the Subscriptions information area, select View subscriptions.
- Here you can view your current subscriptions. Select Manage subscriptions.
- Select Cancel Subscription on the relevant product.
- Select Continue with subscription changes.
- Choose to speak to us, or select Continue with cancellation.
- Read the information carefully, then Select the reason for cancellation.
- Tick the box to confirm you’ve downloaded any required data.
- Select Cancel Subscription.
- From the Review and pay screen, select Confirm.
The Manage subscriptions area shows your subscription end date and a re-subscribe option. We also send you an email to confirm your cancellation.
Cancel a subscription you pay for through Apple or Google
If you subscribed through the mobile app, Apple or Google manages your billing. You can't cancel from within your Sage product. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid the next payment.
Apple devices
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app.
- Tap your name, then tap Subscriptions.
- Tap your Sage subscription.
- Tap Cancel Subscription, then confirm.

Android devices
- On your Android device, open the Google Play app.
- Tap your profile icon, then tap Payments & subscriptions.
- Tap Subscriptions, then tap your Sage subscription.
- Tap Cancel subscription, then follow the steps on screen.
