How to disconnect from a company in Remote Data Access (RDA) and reconnect in Sage 50 Accounts.
It's easy to disconnect then reconnect to data in Remote Data Access, for example, if you need to connect to a new set of data, or to troubleshoot sync issues.
NOTE: If you're using Sage 50 Accounts v27, this article applies to remote sites only.
Disconnect the remote site from Remote Data Access
- Open Sage 50 Accounts.
- In the Company Selection window, locate the company you want to disconnect and check it is showing as Online or Online - Remote.
- Click the ellipsis icon on the left of the company you want to remove then:
- If using Sage 50 Accounts v28 or above, click Disconnect From Remote Data Access

NOTE: In Sage 50 Accounts v28 and above, the Disconnect From Remote Data Access option disconnects only your computer from the Remote Data Access company. The Remove From Remote Data Access option removes the company from Remote Data Access for all users.
- If using Sage 50 Accounts v27, click Remove Remote Data Access.

- Enter your Logon name and Password and click OK.
- Click Yes to the warning message then click OK.
You've now disconnected from the Remote Data Access company data.
NOTE: If you're using Sage 50 Accounts v28 or above and you log in as MANAGER, a copy of the data remains locally on your computer and you can still see the company in the Company Selection window. If you don't need this local copy, click the ellipsis icon to the left of the company name and click Remove company.
Reconnect to the Remote Data Access data
NOTE: If connecting to a new dataset, make sure the data has been uploaded before you do these steps.

- Open Sage 50 Accounts.
- In the Company Selection window, click Add Company.
- Click Download then click Continue.
- If the To use Remote Data Access to connect to a company window appears click OK.
- Enter your Sage ID email address then click Continue.
- Complete the Security Check window.
- Enter your Sage ID Password and click Log In.
- Select the required company and click Next.
- Enter the company Password / passphrase and click Continue.
This is the Passphrase that the data owner entered at the main site when the data was uploaded. If you are unsure, use this article to find the passphrase.
- Click Download.
- Once downloaded, enter your Logon name and Password and click OK.
You're now reconnected to Remote Data Access company data.
