Summary
When you submit a VAT Return for Making Tax Digital (MTD) in Sage 50 Accounts, the HMRC screen is blank.
Description
Either the HMRC online service screen is blank, or the window shows as loading for a prolonged period of time. To resolve this, refresh the Launchpad Settings.
Resolution
Refresh the Launchpad Settings
- Close Sage Accounts and browse to C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts.
NOTE: If you can't see ProgramData, follow our guide to show hidden folders.
- Locate and right-click the Launchpadsettings.xml file.
- Click Rename and type LaunchpadSettings.old
- Restart Sage Accounts, then re-open the reconciled VAT Return.
- Submit the VAT Return again.
Issue persists
If the issue still occurs, repair your current installation of Sage 50 Accounts.
