You can easily record a customer refund this in Sage 50 Accounts with 2 simple steps.
Resolution
- Post a credit note for the refund amount, using the same date, nominal code and tax code as the original sale. You can do this in:
- Invoices and credits >- if you want to print the note or adjust stock back in, you can create a service or product credit note, or
- Batch credit - if you simply want to post an audit trail transaction post a customer batch credit.
- Click Customers then click Refund, choose the relevant bank account and customer then refund the credit note using the date of the refund.
