Post a credit note

If you haven't created this yet, post either a product credit note, service credit note or batch credit note. You can then refund it in the post a customer refund section below.

If you prefer, you can do this later and allocate the refund and credit note.

Post a customer refund

  1. Go to Bank accounts.
  2. Select the account you're paying the refund from.
  3. On the tool bar, select Customer refund, or on the Payments dropdown list, select Customer refund.
  4. Complete the 'Bank Details', 'Customer Details' and 'Refund Details' fields as required.
  5. To refund a credit note, in the Refund column for the relevant credit, enter the refund amount.
If you don't have a credit note to refund, enter the refund amount in the field at the top.
  6. Press Save.
If you entered the amount in the box at the top, press Yes to post an unallocated refund. You can allocate this later.
