Back up your data

  1. Click File, then click Back up.
  2. To check your data, click Yes and click OK, then click Close and click Close again.

    If you have any errors in your data, to fix them please visit sage.co.uk/mydata

  3. Click Browse and browse to where you want to save your backup, then click OK.
  4. Click OK, then click OK again.

Update the computer that holds your data

Download and install your software on the computer that holds your data.

NOTE: If your data is held on a computer that doesn't have a full Sage Accounts installation you must download and install the , on that computer instead.


Download Sage 50 Accounts v27

  1. To download Sage 50 Accounts v27, click the link below:

  2. If prompted to save the file, note the file name, then click Save.

    Depending on your web browser, the file may automatically save to your Downloads folder. To view your Downloads folder, press Ctrl + J on your keyboard.

Install Sage 50 Accounts v27

Update all other computers

On all other computers, follow the same steps above to download and install your software.

Convert your data

Once installed, open each company in Sage 50 Accounts v27 to convert your data.

 NOTE: In Sage 50 Accounts v27 and above the number of permitted password characters has increased from 10 to 32. In earlier versions, only the first 10 characters of your password were read by the software. When entering your password in version 27 after upgrading, please ensure you only enter the first 10 characters. 

Microsoft 365

If you integrate with Microsoft 365, you now need to refresh your Microsoft 365 credentials. The credentials are the email address and password of the Microsoft 365 owner. You only need to do this once and on one computer.
