Summary
How to check why transactions don't appear in the Bank Reconciliation window in Sage 50 Accounts.
Description
If you can't find a transaction in the bank reconciliation window, there are a few things that cause this:
- The transaction date doesn't match the reconciliation period
- You used a different bank account for the transaction
- The transaction isn’t a bank transaction
- The transaction is grouped
- The transaction is already reconciled
- It's a foreign bank revaluation journal created when you completed the Foreign Bank revaluation wizard
- Data corruption
Resolution
To find out why your transaction doesn't appear:
Check your transaction information
- Go to Transactions and locate the transaction.
- Check the Type column and make sure it's a bank transaction.
- Check that the Account or Nominal column displays the bank account you're reconciling.
- Make sure the Date column shows a date on or before the reconciliation date.
- Check whether the Bank column displays N.
- When you reconcile the transaction, the system displays 'R'.
- If it doesn't apply for reconciliation, it shows a hyphen.

Check for grouped transactions
If you entered the transaction at the same time as others, the program groups transactions together.

Check for data corruption
If the transactions still don't appear, check for corruption in your data.
