How to add, edit, delete and set a default chart of accounts in Sage 50 Accounts.

Description

When you set up your company, the nominal accounts and chart of accounts depend on the business type you chose in the Active Setup Wizard.

You can add, edit or delete a chart of accounts, as well as set a chart of accounts you want to be your default.

Resolution

Add a chart of accounts

  1. On the navigation bar, click Nominal codes then click Chart of accounts.
  2. Click Add and enter a name for the new chart of accounts.
  3. Click Add, then click Save.

 NOTE: If you don't include all the nominal ranges, the chart shows as [PARTIAL] in the Chart of Accounts window after saving.


Edit a chart of accounts
