Summary
After posting a journal, you can view it in several ways in Sage 50 Accounts.
Resolution
Open the nominal record activity
If you know the nominal code assigned to your journal, check it in the nominal record activity.
- Go to Nominal codes then select New.
- Select the nominal code from the N/C drop-down, click OK, then click Activity.
TIP: Double-click the transaction to see all parts of the journal.
Run the Day Books: Nominal Ledger report
This report lists all journal entries that meet the specified criteria.
- Go to Nominal codes then select Reports.
- Select Day books, then Day Books: Nominal Ledger then click Preview.
- Enter the required criteria, for example, the date range, then select OK.
Check the audit trail
The audit trail shows all posted transactions, including journals.
- Go to Transactions to view your audit trail
TIP: Use the Filter or Quick search options to find a specific journal transaction.
View a company archive
View journal transactions in the company archive if you've archived your company data.
- Click File then click Open.
- Click Company Archive.
- Select the archive data, then click Open.
- If prompted, enter your login name and password.
You can then view your journal transactions in the company archive using the methods listed above.
