The feature is designed to help accountants apply MTD categories across many companies efficiently. This is rather than assigning categories manually for each company.

You can export the Income Tax Categories from another company to import them. This creates a .csv file with two columns for the nominal code number and the category number.

To import

1. Go to Nominal codes then Assign Income Tax categories.
2. Press the Import button at the top of the window.
3. Browse to the .csv file to import and select Open.
4. Press OK on the 'Import Tax category import successful' message.
5. Press Save on the Assign Nominal Codes to Income Tax Categories window.

The software will only import categories that have a value in the Category field.
