Set up HMRC notices
Description

You can now check for and apply tax code changes directly from HMRC.

If you aren’t on either of these subscriptions, you can leave us your details and we’ll get back to you to discuss your options.

The system turns this feature off by default, and you must set it up before you can use it.

Criteria for processing HMRC notices

You must have:

Set up HMRC notices

  1. Select Settings from the menu bar and choose HMRC notices settings.
  2. Toggle HMRC notices is off, to On.
  3. Choose a Receive notices issued from date.
     NOTE: 
    The earliest date you can select is 3 months prior to the start of the current tax year.  
  4. If you haven’t already entered your HMRC login details into Payroll, the system prompts you to provide them.
  5. Select Save.

Payroll will then automatically use this information to try to retrieve any notices.
