Set up HMRC notices
Description

You can now check for and apply tax code changes and student/postgraduate notices directly from HMRC.

To enable this, enter your details in the Settings menu.

Criteria for processing HMRC notices

You must have:

Set up HMRC notices

  1. Select Settings from the menu bar and choose HMRC notices settings.
  2. Toggle HMRC notices is off, to On.
  3. Choose a Receive notices issued from date.

    NOTE:

    The earliest date you can select is three months before the start of the current tax year.


  4. If you haven’t already entered your HMRC login details into Payroll, the system prompts you to provide them.
  5. Select Save.

Sage Payroll will then automatically use this information to try to retrieve any notices.
