| Description | How to access and edit the template for your payment reminders. NOTE: Automated Payment Reminders is only available in Sage 50 Accounts Professional. If you're interested in upgrading, leave your details and we'll be in touch.

| Resolution | Access the template - Go to Customers and select Sage Copilot.
- On the Sage Copilot window, select Debt management in the Debt summary section.

Click Continue to Debt management on the Debt management with Sage Copilot window. This window provides information on the automated feature. TIP: You can click Don't show me this again.  - On the Debt management with Sage Copilot window, select Manage automated reminders.
 - On the Automated Payment Reminders window, click Customise template against the relevant template type, for example, Final warning.
 This opens the Payment reminder template window that you can customise. Payment reminder template window | Section | Description | | To | The software uses Email1 from the customer record, by default. You can also add further emails in the CC and BCC email fields. | | Reminder rules | - Number of days before/after - Displays the default number of days to send the email. You can edit this number
- Email automatically if invoice exceeds - the system checks the Outstanding and Upcoming tabs and sends emails for invoices above the entered amount. This excludes any excluded customers
- Set customer account status to - this updates the Account status in the Customer record, unless the current status is On Hold
| | Subject line | - Click Show data fields in the Message section to add fields and customise the email subject
| | Message | - Chase level - select the type of template to send, for example Due reminder
- Length - select Short, Medium, or Long to change the length of the email
- Once you've chosen the Chase level and Length, click Draft with Copilot to generate the email content.
- Once happy with the content, click Send.
| | Show data fields | Select this checkbox to add data fields to the Subject line or Message. | | Add as entry to customer communications | Select this checkbox to update the Communication tab in the Customer record. TIP:The Notes column in the Communication Details tab shows Sage Copilot and the type of email sent, for example Due reminder. | Next steps You can now email your customer invoices or statements. |
