Sage Copilot Debt management - Automated Payment Reminders
Description

Within Debt management with Sage Copilot, is the new Automated Payment Reminders feature.  Rather than emailing your customer reminders manually, you can set up automated reminders. This enables you to manage upcoming and overdue invoices by chasing customer payments.

You can customise the four email templates to send automatically based on rules and schedules, using AI to generate the emails.

This feature helps reduce late payments, improve cash flow, and save time chasing outstanding invoices. 

 NOTE: Automated Payment Reminders is only available in Sage 50 Accounts Professional. If you're interested in upgrading, leave your details and we'll be in touch.

Set up automated payment reminders 

 NOTE: Automated Payment Reminders is an exclusive program area. This prevents more than one user at a time opening this feature. 

  1. Go to Customers and select Sage Copilot.
  2. On the Copilot window, select Debt management in the Debt summary section.
  3. Then click Continue to Debt management on the Debt management with Sage Copilot window. 

This window provides information on the automated feature.

You'll now see the window with your upcoming and overdue customer invoices.

  1. Click Manage automated reminders.
  2. On the Automated Payment Reminders window, click Set up now.

  1. Click Continue on the Welcome to Automated Payment reminders window.

This opens the Payment reminder settings window.

  1. Click Set up email and configure your provider information.
  2. Select the provider and click Next. 

 TIP: If you don’t see your provider listed, choose Custom, then contact them directly to get the SMTP server and port details   

  1. Enter your login details and any Authentication information required, then click Next.
  2. Check your details on the next window then click Finish

  • You can then Select layouts on the Payment reminder settings window if you haven't already

Here you choose your specific invoice and customer statement layouts to send. You can do this later if needed, on the main Debt management with Sage Copilot window.

 


  1. Once you've finished, click Continue.

You'll then see the Automated Payment reminders window.


Next steps

You can now customise your payment reminder email template and manage excluded customers, if required.
