Generate a new recovery code for 2-factor authentication (2FA)
Description

When you first set up 2FA, you're provided with a 24 digit recovery code. You're asked to note this code down and keep somewhere safe. This code is for you to use when you're unable to authenticate using your primary 2FA method (Authenticator app, text, or call). After you use it, you'll receive a new recovery code to use next time when needed.

You can generate a new recovery code if you don't know it or have lost it.

NOTE: If you've lost your recovery code and are needing it because you can't authenticate, you can use your recovery method to access a new recovery code or reset 2FA.
