You need to upgrade to Sage Accounts Production v24 to ensure your accounts are in compliance with the latest UK accounting standards.

CAUTION: This article covers the UK version of SAP. To verify your version, go to Help > About > System Information in SAP; the pre-upgrade version is v23. For the Irish version, see the Upgrade to Sage Accounts Production v24.1 (Ireland) for download instructions.

Standalone install

1. Close SAP.
2. Download SAP v24 (UK) then right click the file and Run as administrator. 
3. Select Install Accounts Production v24.0.
4. Click Next on the Welcome screen.
5. Click Standalone Configuration then click Next.
6. Accept the terms and click Next. 
7. Choose Workstation followed by clicking Next.
8. From the Check Settings and Install window, click Next. 
9. When the installation has finished, when prompted, click Finish.

Network Install

1. Open SAP.
2. Click Help and select Auto update configuration.
3. Make a note of the Shared Updates location and close SAP.
    NOTE: Create a shared network accessible to all workstations and enter the path if none is specified. Contact your local IT support if needed.
4. Close SAP.
5. Download the file above and run the Network Configuration option.
6. Place the setup.exe file in the Shared Updates location you noted or created in step 3.
7. Run the setup.exe from the shared location to update this machine and install new formats.
8. Repeat step 7 on all over workstations to update them.

You will see the following message when opening SAP if other workstations are incorrectly configured.

We were unable to automatically locate the installer for version xxxxxx of Sage Accounts Production.

If you know where the installer is located, enter the path below and click the Update Now button Otherwise, click Cancel.

In this instance, browse to the setup.exe file in the shared folder as described at step 3 and click Update Now.
