What do Request Types mean when importing absences from Sage HR?
Description

When you use the import employee details feature to import absences from Sage HR, there are three types of request.

TIP: For help with using this feature, visit our import Sage HR absences to Sage 50 Payroll guide.

Cause
Resolution

An approved absence that's available to import can appear more than once, if it has more than one status.

For example, when the Sage HR user approves a new absence it's available to import with the request type New. If the Sage HR user amends and approves that absence, a second item is available to import for this absence, with the request type 'Amended'.

You can import one or both of these notifications, and action the most recent information when you process the payroll.

Absence types

New

This is a new approved absence that hasn't previously been available for you to import.

Amended

This status appears on an absence notification when the Sage HR user amends an existing absence and approves it.

The original 'new' request for this absence is unaffected, and the 'amended' notification is available to import or reject in Sage 50 Payroll.

Cancelled

This status applies when the Sage HR user cancels an approved absence.

Any existing 'new' or 'amended' requests for this absence are unaffected, and the 'cancel' notification is available to import or reject in Sage 50 Payroll.
